I offer consultations for my clients for the purpose of figuring out your unique issues and needs. Everyone’s feet are different, that’s why it’s so important to first have a look at your feet and then identify the problem and the solution to your needs.

It doesn’t matter if your boots are old or you buy new boots through me, I can fit them better to your feet no matter what. Bootfitting is done by heating up the plastic of the shell and stretching it out using tools and equipment. It’s always easy to make something small bigger, but can be tricky to make something big small.
There are ways to help with that, for example by getting thick liners. I will explain more about that further down on this page. -
I can help you get a brand new pair of ski boots that fit your feet and skiing style perfectly.
Unfortunately the funds/banks won’t allow me to have all the ski boots I want to offer available in the shop. Therefore my recommendations of ski boots will have to be ordered after the consultation. This may sound risky to you, but trust me, I will not let you leave the shop with your new boots unhappy with your purchase. If I make a mistake I will own up to it and we will try again. I give the service I myself want and demand. You deserve the same. This way of doing business requires time and that can be tough for a tourist only visiting Tromsø for a short time. I realize this. This will change in the coming years, but for now this will have to do. Unlike many other businesses in this town, I do this for the locals and not only tourists. Although I do appreciate all my customers!

The liner is basically the soft shoe inside of your boot. The stock liner that comes with a new boot when you buy it is often thin, lightweight and packs down quickly. Replacing the liner can create wonders for your boots. It can help with the performance and the fit of the boot, and help relieve blisters and pain.
Liners wear out a lot faster than the shell (except for ZipFit Liners), so give your boots new life by replacing them. -
The footbeds that come stock in ski boots are good for absolutely nothing.
Everyone needs custom made footbeds inside of ski boots. It’s your feet’s first point of contact. It’s the base of everything inside of a ski boot.
Without them your feet are constantly moving around, tensioning themselves over and over inside of an otherwise completely static and unforgiving environment, your hard shelled ski boots. This results in the boot often feeling smaller than it actually is.
It can also make your feet tired and cramp.A lot of people have pretty messed up feet. This is mostly the fault of a lifetime of wearing shoes that are too narrow and too cushioned. We are made to walk barefoot. We’re not made to wear shoes all the time and certainly not ski boots!
Because most people still are wearing nice looking but tight fitting shoes all day long, their feet become weak. This often results in weak arches that lead to something called pronation. Supination is also a problem but a lot less common one. Whatever your issue is, I will solve it with the help of your custom made footbeds. The goal is to put your feet in a “neutral” position. Basically the position they were meant to be in. The way they looked when you were an innocent little baby that hadn’t yet messed up your feet.
This is important because if your feet are leaning inwards, for example, this will create pressure points on the inside of your feet all the way up to your ankle and can also affect your knees. It will result in pain and bad skiing. Not just because you’re in pain but also because it will be easier for you to get the skis up on edge in one direction over the other.
Long story short (because this shit is complicated) I will make your feet even and symmetrical. This WILL improve your skiing. -
Skis are the easiest piece of equipment to buy, in my opinion. As long as your boots are great for you, you can ski whatever skis you like.
Most skis are so good these days so it all comes down to your own preferences.
Which brands do you identify with? What’s your skiing style?
What’s your price point? What are you going to use them for?
Once these questions are answered I’ll gladly help you get a hold of your dream skis. -
I can order bindings for you to optimize your skiing experience, I offer bindings from ATK, Salomon and Look. I can help with mounting them, and also help to adjust the placement of your old bindings to fit new boots.

Since the creation of skis it’s been necessary to put wax on them (over and over again) to make them glide on snow. This is no longer necessary. DPS has created a product called PHANTOM. There’s a lot of information about the technology on their website so I’ll keep it simple for you… The application of Phantom on your skis penetrates the skis all the way to the base of the skis and gives them a PERMANENT glide. As long as you own and use the skis, they will glide on snow. You can grind the bases over and over and it will still perform year after year. It lasts the lifetime of the skis. This is sufficient enough for 99% of all skiers, but for racers it’s still possible to wax them normally to get the upmost performance out of your skis on a specific day or snow condition.
Honestly it’s just really nice not having to wax your skis multiple times a year or worry about your bases drying up over the summer. Apply once and never think of waxing your skis again.
One more thing! It’s also a lot better for the environment. No more rubbing off toxic chemicals from your skis into the snowpack. It all ends up in lakes and oceans in the end.
Not with Phantom.

I’m honored to be the first dealer of Raide Research products in Scandinavia. The company started out making the best and most thought out backpack for ski touring ever. Every year they come up with new products, always with the goal of solving a problem in the market. Now they make a “Zero G Tour Mod” to change the angle to more aggressive on that specific ski boot, a running belt (without bounce) and a ski touring bib pant.
They’ve recently teamed up with the Norwegian company Safeback, to produce the lightest avalanche backpack on the market.

Socks:
A good boot isn’t complete without a good sock. I have decided to work solely with the brand Le Bent. They make amazing ski socks and other products in merino wool and bamboo.
The merino wool they use is from the company Nuyarn. Nuyarn is a spinning technology that releases the natural performance characteristics of wool fibre twisted out by traditional spinning methods. The result: Wool products made from natural fibres that outperform synthetics.
The socks I offer from Le Bent have great feel and fit, plus they have three small silicon strips in the heel area to prevent heel slippage inside the ski boot.Skins:
I offer skins from the brand Swiss brand Pomoca. They do one thing, skins for skis. I think they make the best skins in the world without a doubt.
